What is ERP-Asset?

ERP-Asset is a Windows® program that facilitates the management and tracking of fixed assets such as computers, furniture, office equipment, etc. It makes extensive use of the Scanpal 2 (Metrologic –USA) portable data collector for initial file creation and for the periodic necessary tracking of the assets. The program can automatically calculate depreciation using the most current in-use methods including the latest tax law provisions.

Bar Codes make the job easier...Asset tracking is an increasingly difficult job - simply keeping track of equipment has become impossible with the rapid evolution and proliferation of computer equipment. Bar coding your assets and locations can greatly reduce the effort of asset management. ERP-Asset makes it possible to accurately track those assets as well as accurately calculate and distribute the depreciation expense.Most asset tracking software packages ignore the huge job of keyboard data entry necessary to set up the asset files. ERP-Asset makes extensive use of the ScanPal 2 portable bar code reader by using custom created menus of bar coded item descriptions, location descriptions, manufacturers, conditions, etc. Scanning these bar coded menus eliminates having to type descriptive data from handwritten notes at the computer. Once the asset file is created, financial data for each asset can be entered at the computer, allowing you to make use of ERP-Asset automated depreciation calculations.

Reporting options...Once the asset file is built, periodically track the assets by simply
scanning the asset labels, location labels (optional), and the condition codes (optional).
This data is uploaded to the computer to produce reports on:

• Depreciation

• New Items

• Disposed Items

• Missing Items

• Within Location

• By Condition

• etc...Depreciation allows for up to 5 different "Book Scenarios" per item - including a Business Property Report for County Taxation.








Asset Labeling

DigTech supplies high quality, serialized polyester bar code labels for asset labels and
location labels. Your company name appears along with the bar code and the human readable
interpretation of the bar code. These labels are waterproof, smudge proof, scratch resistant,
and durable. Labels are serialized starting at 1 and ending with the quantity ordered.
Asset labels are available in quantities of 1000, 3000 and 5000. Location labels are
